Rules

The rules is the firewall's kernel module, the all filters based on these rules. you must understand the rules if you want to become an advanced user.

Note: The rules is matched from up to down and the No. is sort ascending, it will not be continue once a rule matched, so, if the first rule includes second rule then the second rule will no chance to get running.

The Filseclab Personal Firewall built the following rule types:

  • Application Rules
  • Website Rules
  • Intranet Rules
  • ICMP Rules
  • Built-in Rules

    • For easy to make the rules, the software built time type and network type.

  • Time Type
  • Network Type

    • Backup, Restore and Import

  • Backup: to backup the rules and configurations. Note: You must not backup the file into the firewall installation directory because the directory will be removed after it uninstalled.
  • Restore: to restore the rules and configurations.
  • Import: to merge the rules, the new rules will be appended.
