Getting Started

The main frame of Twister Anti-TrojanVirus as following:

And there will have an icon on Windows System Tray of down right corner of Desktop. The icon have following status:

The real-time protector enabled, your computer is protected.

The real-time protector disabled, you computer is not protected.

Computer scan is running.

You may right click the icon to open the context menu of Twister, there have some feature commands in this menu as following:

Click Exit, the Twister will be exited.

There have three big buttons in main frame, they are three real-time engines: Trojan/Spyware Realtime Protection, Virus Realtime Protection, Registry Realtime Protection. The color of the button can indicate the running status: multicolor means this engine is enabled, gray means this engine is disabled. You may click the button to disable or enable one engine, or click Start Realtime Protection, Stop Realtime Protection to enable or disable them all. The details you may view the following section.

Start Realtime Protection: Start the realtime protection of Twister. The three big buttons will become to multicolor after startup, if there have some buttons are gray means that realtime engines have been disabled, you may click the button to enable it again. The realtime protection will automatically trace and monitor every file access on your computer, includes hard disks, floppy drives, cdroms, mobile disks, network drives and e-mail, Internet Explorer etc. The infected files will be denied to read and execute, just uninfected files can be allowed to access. so, there will no problems even you to launch infected programs if the realtime protection is enabled.

Stop Realtime Protection: Stop the realtime protection of Twister. All of the realtime protections will be disabled after stop.

Realtime Protection Settings:

Anti-Trojan&Spyware: Enable/Disable the trojans/spywares realtime protection engine. Multicolor means enabled, gray means disabled.
Anti-Virus: Enable/Disable the viruses realtime protection engine. Multicolor means enabled, gray means disabled.
Registry Protector: Enable/Disable Windows Registry realtime protection engine. Multicolor means enabled, gray means disabled.

The engines running status lists in Current Status label also.

Registry Fix Tools: It can fix a lot of frequently occurred problems of Windows and Internet Explorer. The details you may view Registry Fix Tools.

Immunized Files: This label will list the number of immunized files if Virus Immunity enabled.

Virus Definition Version: Lists the version of current virus definition.

Virus Definition Date: Specifies the release date of current virus definition. It will become to red color if the virus definition used is more than 30 days old.

Virus Definition License Expiration: Specifies the expiration date of virus definition. There will have license date limits for unregistered version and registered version. Generically, the unregistered version have 30 days free to try, the registered version have 1 year license. You may free update before the expiration date, but you will not be able to update again after the expiration date. For getting more license time, you may register if it is unregistered, or you may renew if it is registered. You may free update forever if the expiration date is unlimited.

Software License Expiration: Specifies the expiration date of software. The program will not be able to use after the expiration date. For getting more license time, you may register if it is unregistered, or you may renew if it is registered. You may use it forever if the expiration date is unlimited.

Realtime Scanned: Specifies the last file scanned by realtime protection engine.

Scan Computer: To open Scan Computer panel, you may scan your computer in there.

Options: To open Options panel, you may set the advanced options in there.

File Options: To open File Options panel, you may set the file types for scanning and other options.

Scheduled Scans: To open Scheduled Scans panel, you may create a task to scan your computer at specified time.

Quarantine: To open Quarantine panel, you may export or restore the cleaned, deleted and quarantined files.

Log: To open Log panel to view the logs.

LiveUpdate: To open Filseclab LiveUpdate to update.

Register: This button will be shown if your Twister is unregistered, otherwise, it will be hidden. Click it to open the Filseclab Software Registration for registering and activating your Twister.
